Heading 1: What I Learned
What I learned about colors in each of the exercises is that color impacts the way we perceive artwork. In the first exercise, the change of color to one object immediately grabs your attention. In exercise two, depending on the color that is present if can affect how we feel about an artwork. In example three, the color in the background is also important to the object being used by how the different colors grab the attention. Colors can be interpreted in different ways so its important that the color used represents the artwork.
Heading 2: Color and Emotion
The color that is very symbolic to me is the color purple because of royalty. I connect with this color because growing up my family always installed in me that I’m a king and that people look to me to lead. From then on the color purple is one of my favorite colors because of royalty.
Heading 3: Demonstrating Color Concepts
The exercise that was most successful in demonstrating the required color concept is color symbolism in exercise two. It was most successful because there is feeling all throughout the artwork and the objects surrounding the artwork represent what the color purple means.
