The techniques that I decided to create is the Onomatopoeia, Stacked type, and replace one letter with an object technique. In the object technique I used the word donut and change the o in the word to a actual donut. In the onomatopoeia technique I used the word crash. I change the color and arrange the letters to help with the visual. The last technique is stacked. I change the font of the word and the color to help create the visual.
The technique that I thought worked the best is the object technique. I think it works best because it allowed me to be creative and also clever in finding a way to present the visual. The technique that proved challenging is the onomatopoeia technique. It was hard trying to creative the sound effect with the word crash.
I learned that expressive type is connects the designer to feelings. Creating some of these techniques helped me be able to think outside the box to express my feeling through type. I didn’t think the type had the ability to be able to connect the creator and the viewers together when incorporated with contents of a visual.
